Earlier this month, WANDA and our partners at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center celebrated the graduation of 14 participants who completed the 10-week Creciendo en el Hogar entrepreneurship training. These rising childcare business owners worked alongside the Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County to move closer to licensure, while established providers focused on growth and sustainability.
We were grateful to welcome and hear from Maribel Aguilar, owner of Apolo Daycare, who shared her startup journey and offered honest lessons and encouragement to the graduates. Special thanks to San Mateo County Supervisor Lisa Yarbrough-Gauthier, who spoke to the County’s commitment to supporting childcare providers and helped present certificates to each graduate.
The inaugural celebration was a great moment of recognition for the participants’ commitment and hard work.
