In 2021, WANDA welcomed Jessica Lazar to the Governance Council (GC). Jessica brings a strong background in nonprofit professional experience from previous positions held in philanthropic and direct service organizations over the last 10+ years. As a funder in Silicon Valley, Jessica has developed a keen understanding of the local nonprofit landscape – the opportunities and the challenges – building and maintaining relationships with nonprofit partners, funding peers, public and other leaders in the field.
As a mother of two young children, she is in the thick of parenting and knows how hard it can be on its own. Jessica wanted to work with WANDA to alleviate the added burdens of single parenthood and financial insecurity, supporting other mothers to be happier, healthier, and more engaged for themselves and for their children. Jessica holds a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from University of San Francisco, and a B.A. in History from Santa Clara University.
