Kalimah Salahuddin

Kalimah Salahuddin is a dedicated community leader, advocate, and mother. Nineteen years ago, she was a resident of Haven House with her three children, an experience that shaped her commitment to equity and social justice. Since then, she has served as a school board member for the Jefferson Union High School District for 12 years and as Past President of the San Mateo County School Boards Association (SMCSBA) for two years.

At the county level, Kalimah is actively involved in policy and community initiatives, serving on the Shared Prosperity Council and as Chair of the San Mateo County Sheriff Independent Civilian Advisory Commission. She is also a founding member of the REACH Coalition, an advocacy group comprised of elected officials and community leaders of color dedicated to promoting equity and improving community health.

Her leadership extends across several organizations, including the Boards of the ACLU Northern California Chapter, the San Mateo County NAACP, the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County, the Daly City Youth Health Center, and the Daly City Public Library Associates. She previously served as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco.

Professionally, Kalimah is the Employee Experience Programs Manager at Exelixis, where she works to foster an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.
