Celebrating Our 2024 Graduates

Last month, we gathered for our cherished tradition that brings together our diverse community of program participants, alumnae, donors, allies, and partners. Our annual event highlights the achievements of our graduates and celebrates the collective efforts that make these successes possible.

WANDA Alumna and County of San Mateo Supervisor, Second District Noelia Corzo (pictured above) was our keynote speaker and shared how her experience in the WANDA program grew her confidence and accelerated her professional growth.

“I remember being in class and hearing from one of our instructors that she refused to just sit and wait until she was offered a promotion. She was able to recognize that she had the skills and she deserved it, and she fought for it. And so I was thinking about what I could do, and in 2021 I decided to run for my seat.”

Noelia’s testimony is exactly what we strive to hear. We invite you to empower more striving single moms and help them reach financial self-sufficiency, please consider making a gift in honor of our graduating cohort today.

“Use the lessons that you learned [through WANDA] and take them with you to help others. Help other single moms learn about WANDA by sharing the impact it had in your life. Because every single mom deserves this.”

We’d like to extend a special thank you to everyone who participated in our event and to the donors who gave during our celebration. The event was made possible in part by Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation, our featured sponsor.
