WANDA alumna and faculty member Charisse Fontes taught our Family Traditions Workshop on Saturday, December 8th. The annual event featured a lovely breakfast donated by our Leadership Circle members, and holiday crafts for the children of our current moms and alumnae in attendance. We are also grateful to volunteers and donors who provided gifts for the moms and facilitated activities with the kids.
Charisse’s class focused on the importance of creating positive family traditions that have meaning to us as individuals. To quote Charisse “ It is vital that we as women establish the traditions. If we don’t do it, it most likely will not be passed on. Yes, we are busy, yes we have tons of things going on with our lives, but it’s our life. We can live it chained to what we are told is traditional, or we can make our own.”
